Sunset Thoughts

On a cold September morning . . . [Explored]
On a cold September morning,
She waited with bated breath,
for a glimpse of the first train,
that would bring home her only wealth.
the faintest light,
the feeblest scent,
atleast a distant horn,
She could make through another day,
with a whispered promise of dawn.
Alas the breeze would never relent,
It's icy touch grew colder,
Only her will, had never bent
But this wait was getting longer . . .
the warmth of a forgotten smile,
was since keeping her going,
the promise that she'll see it again,
Could really be her undoing . . . .
For many nights, had she sat up waiting,
Looking for a beam of light,
through the mist, in the morning,
One day he'll prove her right!

Sunset Thoughts
Me and Richard went to Juhu. I love that place so much, i never feel like coming back from there.
It was low tide yesterday, really low !!!
By the time we reached the waterline, we felt like we were right in the middle of the sea, coz it was surrounding us on all three sides.
Water was so cool, i wished i could swim into it.
The waves were really calm, they made me want to float on a rubber tube forever over it.
sigh!!
But we had to comeback, Sunsets always make me philosophical, i just get drunk on it.
I have been going to Juhu since childhood, yet yesterday was definitely the best sunset of my life.

Whu u lukin at . . .
Taking shots from a moving vehicle is damn tough,
i shot this at a Traffic Signal. When i saw the miror in his auto,
i held up my cam, and focused the shot, then waited for him to look at me. May be i even persuaded him to turn his eyes on me, using my telepathic skills, you know sometimes when u just want somebody to look back at you from a crowd , it always happens , if you wish strongly enough!
Whatever, i was rewarded with this amazing expession. this is the first time that i have ventured into street photography so seriously, and thankfully, it yielded great results.

Congrats to myself !!!
Today, is very special.
I crossed a milestone today. My Flickr Photostream crossed 200 views (204 at last count), that's barely anything by Flickr standards, but it's big for me.
And there's icing on the cake too, This shot of mine crossed 100 individual views, that's really great.
I am really happy, that i bought my cam,(so impulsively) otherwise i would have never disccovered this passion, in me. It's fullfilling, it satisfies my urge to create, to imagine, and to Showcase!!!
I hope that someday I'll buy a DSLR of mine, till then this will do.
It's good.
It's Guuuuuuuud !!!

yellow gulmohar
Gulmohar trees are my favourite, right from my childhood,
they evoke nostalgia for me , becoz the lane of my school was lined with them on both sides
they almost converged at the top, and covered both the sides of the lane with red and yellow flowers, it was a very welcoming and beautiful sight....
........sigh , i miss those days.....
i know this turned out great!!!
i learned with this one that lighting can do wonders for a shot
i shot this in the evening, there was no harshness in the light,
still there was enough of it. i love it.

A Crow King
I am very happy with this one,
i pat myself for the composition
but it took me a lot of time to process this,
at this rate i will never be able to click enough, if i have to spend half a day processin one single shot,
i just coudn't decide on the tones for the background.
it took me forever to find the right colour and brightness, so as to
give justice to the tittle, i.e not take the focus away from my subject.
but it turned out beautifully, worth all the trouble definitely.

a regular visitor
There's a small box in my building right outside my door, on first floor. Which is a junction box for all the landline telephone wires coming into my building, well she used it to build her nest there, and she's even hatched her eggs in it, the lil ones keep chirping all day, and sometimes all night, but go quiet as soon as i open my door !!!
